Tradition & Innovation. The Community Festival Programme Edition 2024

The fourth edition of the community festival begins and, as per tradition, will be held in the exclusive setting of Casa Pilloni 10 August to 12 October.

Opening the event will be, on the day Saturday 10 August at 19:30, l'inauguration of the photography exhibition dedicated to the theme of the relationship between tradition and innovation. During the event, the fourth edition of the festival and in particular the 30 photos admitted to the exhibition will be presented.

The festival will continue with cinema scheduled for the day Friday 23 August at 21:30 with the screening of the recently successful film 'There's still tomorrow'which marks the directorial debut of a surprising Paola Cortellesi. 

Friday 30 August, at 19:00, a conference-debate according to the open and dialogue-oriented style, typical of the community festival, on the theme 'From analogue to digital: person and society in the age of artificial intelligence'.

Friday 6 September, at 21:15cinema will again characterise the festival with the exciting film 'I Captain' by Matteo Garrone.

Friday 13 September, at 21:00The authors of  'I am innocent', Beniamino Zuncheddu and Mauro Trogu, protagonists - with different roles - of an affair that marked the biggest miscarriage of justice in republican history; this will be followed by a concert by the musical group  "Zirichiltaggia. Tribute to F. De Andrè'. which, in the parish churchyard dedicated to St Sebastian, will revive the songs of one of the greatest songwriters in the history of Italian music and beyond.

Friday 20 September, 18:30one more conference-debate on the theme 'Environment, agriculture and green economy between instances of conservation and renewal'which will be of great interest to an area like Marmilla that retains an agricultural vocation and is committed to enhancing the environment both economically and in terms of tourism and social development.

Friday 27 September, 17:45presentation of the book 'Historic Gardens and Parks of Sardinia with author Mauro Ballero. To follow 'Vuelvo al Sur/Voices from Latin America'. in concert, for a fascinating sound itinerary at (re)discovering the 'Voices from Latin America' that have redrawn the geography of the imagination by enhancing the rich heritage of Central and South American popular music.

Finally Saturday 12 October, 17:00, the conference-debate on the theme "Youth Is Life: What Tomorrow for the New Generations?"with the involvement of associations, public institutions and private entities and, above all, young people; this will be followed by the award ceremony for the winners of the photography competition, which will close a festival programme rich in events as never before
