The programme of the third edition
Here is the programme of the 2023 edition of the community festival dedicated to the theme of the relationship between beginning and end.
Friday 11 August - Pilloni Heirs House - 6.30 p.m.
Theatrical performance 'Naranta: the queen's dream"by the 'Albèschida' association. The voluntary association Albèschida draws attention to mental health issues also through theatre that unites patients, health workers, family members and other volunteers. The scheduled performance is inspired by the life and works of the well-known Sardinian artist Maria Lai.
Meeting on the theme "The CSM of Ales. A 40-year history of community mental health" with psychiatrists, health workers, associations and local administrators. Through the history of the mental health centre in Ales, it will be possible to look back at the issues and challenges facing territorial mental health services in a meeting that will also include a debate with free interventions.
Saturday 12 August - Pilloni Heirs House - 10 p.m.
Francesco Piu trio in concert (free admission). Francesco Piu - voice and guitar - Gavino Riva - bass and vocals - Paolo Succu- drums. An explosive blend of blues, funky, rock and soul in an electro-acoustic key. This is the sound formula of Francesco Piu, who accompanies his voice with instruments such as acoustic guitar, dobro, weissenborn, banjo, lap steel and harmonica. In recent years, Francesco Piu has carved out a prominent place for himself on the Italian and international blues scene.
Sunday 13 August - Pilloni Heirs House - 7 p.m.
Inauguration of the photography exhibition "BEGINNINGAND END A convivial moment will follow. Now in its third year, the photography competition is open to all photographers (professional and amateur) and this year has been enhanced by the possibility for the public to vote for photos remotely by accessing the competition section in the festivalcommunitycurcuris.com
Thursday 17 August - Pilloni Heirs House - 9.30 p.m.
Screening of the film 'Boyhood", by Richard Linklater, with Ellar Coltrane, Patricia Arquette, Etan Hawke, Lorelei Linklater, USA, 2014. - Independent film, shot over 12 years, Boyhood is a true cinematic 'experiment' that chronicles a journey through the years, from childhood to adulthood. An emotional and transcendental journey that has won multiple international awards (Academy Award, Berlin Film Festival Award, Golden Globes, BAFTA, Critics, Choice Award, AFI Awards).
Friday 18 August - Pilloni Heirs House - 6.30 p.m.
Meeting with the Prof. Carlo Casalone and the Prof. Gianluca Scroccu on the theme of 'beginning and end'. With speeches by Prof. Carlo Casolone, lecturer at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome and Prof. Gianluca Scroccu, lecturer at the University of Cagliari, the festival theme will be addressed from different moral and historical perspectives.
Friday 22 September - Pilloni Heirs House - 6.30 p.m.
Meeting with the Prof. Umberto Curi on the theme of 'beginning and end'. Prof. Umberto Curi, Professor Emeritus of the History of Philosophy at the University of Padua, is among the most authoritative voices in the field of philosophical thought and some of his books have won national and international prizes and awards. His talk on the relationship between beginning and end will mark a key evening for the festival.
Friday 29 September - Pilloni Heirs House - 6.30 p.m.
Ceremony of prize-giving for the winners of the photography competition "BEGINNINGAND END A convivial moment will follow. As in previous editions, the three photos selected by the jury will be awarded prizes, while the photo most voted by the public will be awarded the popular jury prize.
